Food at IPLeiria

During the week I always have my lunch at IPLeiria. During my first two weeks at work I usually went for a soup meal which is at the second floor of ESTG. The soup is a nice and really light option usually made of vegetables or fish and it costs you 80 cents per meal. After the first weeks I started to exercise more regularly and started also feeling that I need to eat more to get enough energy and nutrition for my body. I started going to the snack bar where a meal with mug of water costs you 2,75€. There are usually two options available (usually fish or meat option) and also a salad table included to the price.

In the food units of Social Services of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, students have access to a meal service at very affordable price. The options are varied: five canteens, nine bars, two restaurants and a snack bar.

Students have access to a meal service at a very affordable price. In canteens complete meals are provided at social prices (the complete meal includes: soup, main course, salad, bread, fruit or dessert and juice) and, in the bars, there are also menus with subsidized prices. There is a permanent concern with the diversification of meals, trying to assure balanced diet menus and improve the level of student satisfaction.

Prices: Student pre-purchased meal: € 2.40 / Meal purchased on the day: € 2.90

portion
portion

These are a basic portions at the snack bar. Just enough for a sporting young man like me and the price is 2 euros and 75 cents including a cup of water. If I’m honest: I rarely am able to eat the full portions but at least they are not too small portions to satisfy my hunger. You can of course decide what you want to have with the fish/meat. I’m too hooked on those fries without salt: the only way I like to eat potatoes.

cake

On fridays I also like to eat some cake which costs about one euro and is delicious.
